About the role

Working in our team, you will:

  • Lead the DevOps teams to serve multi-region clients in a nearshore model
  • Be responsible for the teams’ development: sourcing, onboarding, performance evaluation and career growth, assuring the acquisition and retention of talents
  • Plan and oversee all service support phases 
  • Plan and manage team allocation (both employees and contractors)
  • Internal and external operational reporting, including SLA management
  • Act as a primary interface to the customer on all operational topics
  • Identify customer pain points, risks and improvement opportunities, and engage all relevant internal stakeholders to propose solutions
  • Establish, manage and nurture excellent relationship with all Program stakeholders
  • Promote automation and improvement initiatives, whilst instilling a DevOps culture
  • Identify new business opportunities and support peers in different teams in the pre-sales process

 

What are we looking for?

  • Solid experience in a similar key role on IT Operations (7+ years on role / 12+ overall)
  • Background in Telecommunications, IT or similar area
  • Proficient in English and Portuguese, both in verbal and written forms
  • Logical reasoning and pragmatic approach to problems
  • Reliable, resilient and avid to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
  • Significant experience managing medium to large teams


Nice to have:

  • Previous experience with cloud platforms and services, e.g. AWS (preferential)
  • Understanding of the main concepts, processes and tools of Service Management
  • Motivation to work in a DevOps culture and ability to apply its practices and tools
  • Experience in liaising with different stakeholders, both technical and business

 

Personal traits:

  • Ability to adapt to different contexts, teams and Clients
  • Teamwork skills but also sense of autonomy
  • Motivation for international projects and ok if travel is included
  • Willingness to collaborate with other players
  • Strong communication skills
