About the role
Manage Telecommunications projects within their scope, guaranteeing efficiency and compliance with internal procedures, industry regulations, and service standards, contributing to clients´ satisfaction and businesses' sustainable growth.
As a part of your job, you will:
- Define and manage the scope of IT and Telco projects, estimating costs, determining budgets, and identifying quality requirements.
- Plan, define, and develop schedules and activities, estimating resources and technical activity durations within network deployment, IT infrastructure, or software implementation projects.
- Manage scope changes, schedules, and costs while maintaining awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and their impact on telecom service delivery and IT systems.
- Define project budgets and efficiently allocate resources, ensuring the project is delivered within set timelines and cost frameworks.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal teams, vendors, clients, and telecom service providers within the project scope.
- Perform risk management by identifying potential technical and business risks, assessing their impact, developing mitigation strategies, and escalating unresolved issues.
- Oversee and manage the technical workload of IT and network engineering teams, ensuring timely progress and reporting project status.
- Ensure project team members align with client needs and telecom industry requirements, particularly in areas like network deployment, IT systems integration, and service activation.
- Promote continuous improvement in project execution by optimizing IT and Telco processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance service quality.
- Guarantee on-time project delivery, ensuring compliance with IT security standards, network performance benchmarks, and telecom service agreements.
- Lead and coach the project team, providing assessment, support, and development opportunities.
- Stay updated on emerging IT and Telecom technologies (e.g., 5G, SD-WAN, IoT, cloud computing, OSS/BSS systems) and integrate them into project planning.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external telecom and IT regulations (e.g., GDPR, SLA compliance, and cybersecurity protocols).
- Identify new business opportunities and potential IT/Telco projects with existing customers.
- Continuously coach, motivate, and guide team members to improve performance in terms of project scope, budget, and schedules, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in managing IT and Telecommunications projects (e.g., network rollouts, software deployments, infrastructure migrations, OSS/BSS integration).
- Strong understanding of Telco business models, including service delivery, network operations, IT infrastructure, and vendor management.
- Knowledge of Telecom network technologies (e.g., fiber optics, wireless, SDN/NFV, VoIP, cloud-based services).
- Familiarity with telecom regulatory requirements, including SLA compliance, data security laws, and industry standards.
- Strong leadership skills, capable of leading, coaching, motivating, and inspiring teams toward achieving project goals.
- Expertise in project planning, scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and financial tracking.
- Excellent risk management skills, identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks related to technology deployment and service stability.
- Experience managing P&L, budgeting, and forecasting, ensuring financial control throughout the project life cycle.
- Strong stakeholder management—able to effectively communicate, negotiate, and collaborate with business and technical teams.
- Proven problem-solving skills, capable of analyzing challenges and developing innovative solutions based on data.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects within a high-paced Telco/IT environment, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid frameworks for IT and Telecom project management.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, resolve conflicts, and drive team collaboration.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development, keeping up with IT and telecom industry trends and best practices.
