About the role

As the Head of AI, you will lead the strategy, development, and delivery of AI-driven solutions across Celfocus’ key clients and internal initiatives. You will work closely with Data Science, Engineering, Architecture, and Product teams to design scalable, enterprise-grade AI solutions that create real business impact in sectors such as telecommunications, banking, insurance, retail, and pharmaceutical.

This is a strategic and highly visible role, combining technical depth with strong leadership, innovation, and client engagement.

As a part of your job, you will:

• Define and drive the company’s AI strategy and innovation roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Lead and develop the Data Science and AI Engineering teams, establishing best practices and fostering a culture of learning.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of AI solutions, including architecture, model development, validation, and production deployment.
• Act as a senior AI advisor for clients, supporting pre-sales, RFPs, and strategic discussions.
• Ensure AI governance and compliance, including Responsible AI, security, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Architecture, and Delivery to ensure scalable, high-quality solutions.
• Represent the company externally, participating in client meetings, events, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

What are we looking for?

• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of combined experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI roles.
• Strong background in ML, Deep Learning, NLP, and/or Generative AI.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and delivering complex AI projects in production.
• Solid understanding of cloud environments (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP a plus).
• Experience with enterprise clients and large-scale data ecosystems.
